Atsushi Nakajima

Fyodor Dostoevsky - Head of "The Rats of the House of the Dead." Fyodor is one of the main antagonists of the entire story, a brilliant manipulator operating from the shadows. His goal is to create a world without sinners, purged of the very capacity for evil in humans, and to this end, he seeks to destroy all esper abilities. His mindset, like Dazai's, is capable of outsmarting even Rampo.

Edgar Allan Poe – He had already left the guild and was only there to leak the plans for Ranpo's ship if he won, and of course, Ranpo won. He sometimes comes to the agency on the fourth floor to lend Ranpo his latest detective novel or another mystery. Currently, he helps him hide. The "Black Cat of the Rue Morgue" ability allows him to immerse the reader in a detective novel.

Lucy Maud Montgomery is the Guild's strategist. Calm and calculating, she cares deeply for her people. Her ability, "Anne of Green Gables," creates a special space where time slows down a millionfold, allowing her to plot. This ability only works if she's alone in a closed room.

Ryuro Hirotsu is a veteran and squad leader. Calm, collected, and pragmatic, he prefers to act prudently and protect his men as much as possible in their work. His "Withering Camellia" ability repels objects upon contact—useful for defense and spatial control.
Gin Akutagawa is Ryunosuke's sister and one of the squad's lieutenants. Quiet, stealthy, and deadly effective, she's a master of stealth infiltration and silent assassinations. She doesn't have an esper ability, but her skills make her no less dangerous than those with powers.
Tachihara Michizu is another lieutenant, a brash and impulsive fighter who likes to act boldly. He's not an esper either, but he's skilled in metal manipulation, though only the Bloodhounds know this, as he's a spy. Although Tachihara prefers the mafia.

Kouyou Ozaki is a skilled and cold-blooded assassin with a troubled past. While she appears cynical and ruthless on the surface, she deeply cares for those she considers "hers," especially Chuuya and Kyouka. Her "Golden Demon" ability materializes a sword-wielding phantom that she controls with her mind, making her deadly in combat. Many call her "Sister."

Higuchi Ichiyo is Akutagawa's assistant and one of his most loyal subordinates. While Higuchi lacks any supernatural abilities, she is a highly trained fighter and compensates for her lack of esper powers with determination, discipline, and tactical acumen. She is reserved, collected, and rarely loses her composure. Her primary motivation is to be useful to Akutagawa and justify his trust.

Akutagawa Ryunosuke - One of the mafia's strongest fighters, often referred to as "the mafia's dog." Akutagawa is gloomy, withdrawn, and obsessed with earning Dazai's recognition. He constantly struggles with feelings of inferiority and strives to prove himself worthy of being on the front lines. He suffers from a persistent cough, a reflection of his inner tension and self-destructive tendencies. His Rashomon ability transforms his coat into a living, predatory weapon, capable of cutting through almost anything. He is referred to by his last name.

Chuuya Nakahara is a mafia leader and Dazai's former partner. He is a hot-tempered, proud, and straightforward fighter with a strong sense of honor. He tolerates no disrespect, loves to prove his strength in combat, and reacts painfully to any attempt to question his professionalism. Despite his harsh demeanor, he is loyal to the mafia and his men. His ability, "Gravity Manipulation," gives him control over gravity: he can alter the weight of objects, walk on walls, and even disable gravity around him. In his "Corruption" form, the power becomes almost uncontrollable, yet destructive. And only Dazai can stop the Corruption.

Alice is a girl who is almost always by Mori's side. In reality, Alice is not human, but an embodiment of Mori's ability, making her immortal and able to change form, becoming, for example, a weapon or a shield. Personality-wise, she acts like a capricious but loyal child: she loves sweets and can be mischievous at times, but she trusts Mori implicitly and considers the mafia her family.

Mori Ogai is the boss of the Port Mafia and a former doctor. Mori is a cold-blooded strategist and master manipulator: he calculates situations many moves ahead and calmly makes harsh decisions for the "greater good" of the mafia. At the same time, he sincerely considers himself a protector of his people and operates according to his own code. His ability, "Vita Sexualis," allows him to control Alice and change her form and skills at will.

Atsushi Nakajima is very compassionate, prone to self-doubt, but always tries to help those in need. He is deeply affected by violence and injustice, which often leads him to conflict with his own power. His ability, "Moonlight Beast," transforms him into a massive white tiger, granting him incredible speed, strength, and regeneration. Along the way, Atsushi learned to embrace his power and use it to protect others.

Kenji Miyazawa is a simple, open, and incredibly kind boy from the countryside. He doesn't like to complicate things and views the world with optimism, sincerely believing that people are basically good. He is extremely strong physically and relies on his strength in battle rather than cunning. His ability, "Not Yielding to the Rain," grants him superhuman strength and endurance when hungry. This trait often becomes the butt of jokes, but in times of crisis, Kenji is a reliable pillar of support for the team.

Yosano Akiko is the agency's doctor and one of its strongest and most independent. Yosano is straightforward, self-assured, and doesn't tolerate foolishness. She may seem cold, but she is deeply devoted to her comrades and believes the best help is giving someone a chance to survive and fight on. Her ability, "Don't Give Up Your Life, Your Love," heals any wound, but only on the brink of death: to heal someone, the patient must be practically dying. Because of this, she often acts harshly and even cynically, trying to finish them off before healing them.

Tanizaki Junichiro is a calm, gentle, and somewhat shy man who is very attached to his younger sister, Naomi. He tries to avoid conflict and act peacefully, but is willing to go to great lengths to protect his sister. In combat, Tanizaki is calm and collected, and his "Light Snow" ability creates illusions that look and feel like reality—making him a valuable asset when it comes to disorienting an opponent.

Kunikida Doppo is Fukuzawa's right-hand man and the polar opposite of Dazai. Kunikida is a perfectionist and a pedant who lives by a schedule: he keeps a "Perfect Notebook" where he writes down his goals and plans. He is serious to the point of being tedious, quick to anger when things don't go according to plan, and takes the agency's work very seriously. Despite his strictness, he genuinely cares for his colleagues and strives to be a reliable support system. His ability, "Doppo's Poetry," allows him to materialize objects from his notebook—but only if the description is accurate and realistic.

Dazai Osamu is a former member of the Port Mafia and now an employee of the Armed Detective Agency. His personality is a mixture of irony, provocation, and deep inner pain. Dazai constantly jokes about suicide, acts deliberately frivolous, and enjoys irritating people, but behind this facade lies a keen mind and an ability to discern others' motives. He is a master of manipulation, yet genuinely strives to protect his comrades. His ability, "Incomplete Human," neutralizes any other ability upon contact.

Armed Detective Agency (ADA) — Collaborates with the military police, solving crimes that regular police can't handle. Also private detectives. President Fukuzawa.
The Party Mafia is the dark side of this city, influencing politics and economics in the city. Boss Mori.
