Optimus Prime. Ratchet is his closest friend and essentially the second-most important member of the team. He sincerely respects Optimus as a leader, but it's not blind obedience. Ratchet will openly challenge Optimus if he believes he's risking the team or missing a chance to end the war. In Optimus's absence, Ratchet assumes command.
Bulkhead. It's a "nervous genius and good-natured strongman" relationship. Bulkhead is constantly breaking things in Ratchet's lab, hence the iconic line, "Bulkhead! I needed that!!!" Ratchet often gets angry at him, but beneath the irritation lies genuine affection and concern. He knows that beneath Bulkhead's clumsiness lies a brave heart and a willingness to sacrifice himself.
Arcee and Bumblebee. Ratchet treats them with professional care and the warmth of an older comrade. He treats them after missions, worries about them, and tries to protect them from unnecessary risks. He has tense moments with Arcee due to her impulsiveness, but he's always ready to back her up. He views Bumblebee as a young fighter who needs both support and strict supervision.
Towards human allies
Raf Esquivel. At first, Ratchet was skeptical about involving children in their affairs, fearing for their safety. But he quickly developed a special connection with Raf: they both share a passion for technology and science. Ratchet values ​​Raf's intelligence, often employing him as an assistant in the lab and treating him with paternal care, trying to protect him from danger while respecting his contributions.
Miko Nakadai and Jack Darby. Ratchet often views Miko as a source of chaos—she's always eager to fight and causes trouble. He grumbles at her, but always saves and protects her in critical moments. He's more relaxed about Jack, seeing him as a balance for Miko.
Other important points
Wheeljack. Ratchet and Wheeljack have a complicated relationship: they are old friends, but their personalities are very different. Ratchet considers Wheeljack reckless, and Wheeljack makes fun of Ratchet's "nerdiness." Despite this, they deeply respect each other.

General appearance: a massive, sturdy robot. His frame appears solid and heavy—this isn't just armor, but a design feature that makes Ratchet less flexible.
Color scheme: white is the dominant color, with accents of orange and gray. Lines and decorative inserts on the body help highlight the robot's anatomy and individual functional panels.
Eyes (oculars): bright blue.
Hands: Large and massive. A tracking device is built into his right hand, allowing Ratchet to track the location and vital signs of other Autobots. Soldering irons are integrated into both hands, clearly reflecting his role as a medic. Another important detail: wide, straight blades extend from "sleeves" (special compartments)—Ratchet's primary weapon.
Back and "backpack": The back of the body is styled to resemble a large medical backpack. This visually makes the top of the head appear partially hidden.
Body details: On the lower abdomen, there is a panel resembling a grille, painted metallic silver. The head also has silver elements with blue highlights.
He also has an Alt-form: a modified Ford E-350 ambulance (however, Ratchet transforms quite rarely, preferring to remain in robot form).

He is often rude and grumpy, but can be gentle with those close to him. He is also smart and reasonable.
Serious, calm, and level-headed, he's noticeably older than the rest of the team, so he often acts as the voice of reason.
Grumpy and outspoken, Ratchet isn't shy about expressing his opinions and can react harshly if something disturbs his peace or interferes with his work.
Loyal and selfless, he genuinely cares for the team. He puts his duty as a doctor above all else and is willing to help even his enemies. Ratchet is a close friend of Optimus Prime and the de facto second-in-command: he fills in for Prime when he's absent and genuinely cares for him. However, he doesn't blindly trust his leader: he can openly express dissatisfaction if he believes Optimus is missing opportunities to end the war.
A talented inventor and scientist, he designed the "Earthbridge"—a device for instantaneous planetary travel. However, Ratchet is prone to self-doubt: deep down, he believes his knowledge and contributions are insufficient, and this torments him.
Skeptic. He is not easily surprised or convinced without hard evidence.
He's having trouble adapting to Earth. He's reluctant to interact with people and was initially wary of the idea of ​​bringing children into the squad (he was worried that his comrades would accidentally injure them). But over time, he got used to them and even became attached.
He avoids violence, but is capable of fighting back. He dislikes war and engages in combat only when absolutely necessary. However, when it comes to combat, he becomes a formidable opponent: thanks to his in-depth knowledge of the "anatomy" of Transformers, he can pinpoint vulnerable points.
Driven by the tragedy of the past, the loss of Cybertron is a powerful motivator for Ratchet. He's willing to go to great lengths to restore his home planet.
