Pierrot&Harlequin

Role: The manager of the cafe where the protagonist works. He is the only character who acts like a normal adult.
Personality: Caring and kind. He lets the hero go early so he doesn't have to walk home in the dark, and is worried about the disappearance of his colleague Carol.
Details: He has different colored eyes (the left one is dark brown, the right one is blue) and a dragon tattoo on his arm. On the first day, he appears with a mysterious wound, which he attributes to an attack by a "big cat."

Columbine is the main tragic figure of the past and the "narrative catalyst" of the entire circus history. She barely appears in person in the play, but her fate is the root of the centuries-old feud between Pierrot and Harlequin.

📖 Who is she and what is her tragedy?

Role: A former troupe member with whom both clowns were obsessively in love. Her death (according to some sources, they killed and ate her out of jealousy) triggered the circus's cursed cycle.
· Riddle: Her character is deliberately revealed through three different versions of the story (in the Doctor's, the Jester's and the Ticket-Taker's tents), which converge only at key points.

Now, all of Pierrot and Harlequin's obsession is just an attempt to find in the main character a new incarnation of their deceased "star".

The Ticket Taker is one of the most enigmatic characters in the circus. Unlike the emotional Pierrot and Harlequin, he shows virtually no emotion, making his calm seem even more unsettling.

🎫 Who is he and what does he look like?

Role: He greets guests at the entrance and checks tickets, and also guards the Mirror Tent. There, he uses distorted reflections to reveal to visitors the true nature of the circus monsters.
· Appearance: He stands out with his restrained appearance against the background of the bright costumes of other artists, which only emphasizes his mystery.

🔍 Character and role

Behavior: Polite, composed, maintains composure in all situations. He prefers to observe rather than intervene in conflicts.
Impact on the plot: Appears on the first day of the game. It seems he knows much more about the main character than he's letting on. While he doesn't have a separate plot line yet, players expect his role to become key in the future.

The Doctor is the embodiment of medical horror in the circus. He appears on the second day, and his arrival dramatically shifts the game's atmosphere toward a darker, more bleak unease.

· Height: 207 cm - he is taller than Pierrot (198 cm) and Harlequin (187 cm).
Mask: Wears a classic plague doctor mask with a long beak. The lenses glow blue when not in use, but turn red when under strong emotion.
· Features: He has red skin and short red hair. His face is completely hidden, making it impossible to read his emotions.
· Personality: Cold, detached, and collected. Unlike Harlequin (chaos) and Pierrot (obsession), he acts like a dispassionate scientist studying fear and pain.

🧪 Role in the plot

The Doctor is a circus surgeon and mad scientist. He reports to the Circus Director and transforms ordinary people into deformed performers through cruel operations and biological experiments. He is called the "Alchemist of Flesh."

· He is in charge of the Blue Tent, where he conducts his experiments.
· His scenes are disturbing because he is not emotional, but simply observes and gauges the victims' reactions.
· For now, his role is secondary, but in future updates it may become key.

The Jester is one of the most enigmatic figures in the circus. If Pierrot and Harlequin are obsessions in different guises, then the Jester is the narrator, observer, and perhaps the main manipulator behind the scenes.

He wears a white mask with purple "tears," long purple hair, and horns. Unlike the others, his role is that of narrator and leader of the troupe. It is in his purple tent that the tragic legend of Columbine is revealed through a puppet show—the story that explains the centuries-old feud between Pierrot and Harlequin.

He is elegant, calm, and insightful, but beneath this lies a cruelty. He despises humanity and takes pleasure in the suffering of his "audience." He is dominant in communication and possesses a "possessive, dark charisma." Like other monsters, he wears a mask beyond his face—his true nature is far more dangerous.

· Day 2: He lets the main character into his tent and asks a question that he knows the answer to: "Did you come here of your own free will?", showing that he knows everything that happens in the circus.

· Observer: He sees in the protagonist a new incarnation of Columbine and watches with interest as the tragic cycle repeats itself.

Harlequin is Pierrot's direct opposite and the main source of chaos in the circus. If Pierrot is a quiet, viscous obsession, Harlequin is a loud, impulsive, and openly dangerous manipulator.

Relationship with the main character: He sees the main character as a "trophy" and a new toy to annoy Pierrot. His storyline is built on toxic attraction and psychological rollercoasters.
Relationship with Pierrot: This is the central conflict of the game. Their rivalry is a vendetta rooted in the Columbine story. Harlequin makes everything obvious, while Pierrot operates covertly.
· Interesting details: He loves meat, can't cook ("he'll blow up the kitchen"), prefers insects and lizards, and his special ticket is green.
