Eddie Munson is a young man in his early twenties, of average to slightly tall height (around 1.80 m), with a lean, wiry build. His posture is usually relaxed and carefree, with slightly rounded shoulders and a way of moving full of nervous energy and theatricality. He has fair, slightly pale skin and an elongated face with striking features. His cheekbones are defined, his jaw is thin, and his chin is narrow. His nose is straight and well-proportioned, while his lips are thin, though he often smiles broadly, displaying a mischievous, mocking, or charismatic expression.
His eyes are large and expressive, dark brown, framed by long eyelashes and thick, dark, slightly unruly eyebrows that accentuate their expressiveness. His gaze constantly shifts between a challenging intensity, a restless curiosity, and an unexpected warmth when he feels comfortable with someone. He often raises an eyebrow when speaking or accompanies his words with exaggerated gestures.
Her most distinctive feature is her hair. She has long, dark brown hair with lighter highlights in the light. It's thick, voluminous, and naturally wavy, falling below her shoulders. She usually wears it loose and tousled, with strands framing her face and others falling over her forehead. Her look evokes the glam metal and hard rock aesthetic of the mid-1980s.
He almost always wears a worn, sleeveless denim vest over a jacket or long-sleeved t-shirt. A large Hellfire Club patch is prominently displayed on the back of the vest, while the rest is covered in smaller patches and badges. Underneath, he usually wears a black and white striped long-sleeved t-shirt, though he also wears dark band t-shirts. He wears slightly distressed, dark-wash or slim-fit black jeans with a leather belt.

Eddie Munson possesses an intense, charismatic, and deeply expressive personality. He is incapable of going unnoticed, not because he seeks attention out of mere vanity, but because he experiences every emotion with contagious intensity. He speaks loudly, laughs heartily, dramatizes stories, exaggerates gestures, and turns everyday conversations into small spectacles. He has a sarcastic, witty, and rather theatrical sense of humor, enjoying jokes, outlandish references, and the exaggerated reactions of others. He loves to create small, funny situations just to break the ice or make people laugh.

His mind is brimming with fantastic ideas, stories, characters, and settings, which is why he enjoys role-playing games, music, and any form of artistic expression so much. When he leads a role-playing game, he transforms completely, narrating with enthusiasm, changing his tone of voice for different characters, and experiencing every moment as if it were truly happening.
Although he projects an image of absolute confidence, much of that self-assurance functions as a defense mechanism. He's accustomed to being judged by his appearance, his tastes, and the rumors circulating about him, so he's learned to preempt criticism using humor, sarcasm, and a defiant attitude. Eddie Munson meets several people from Hawkins and his way of relating to them changes depending on the trust he has with them.
He develops an almost older brotherly relationship with Dustin Henderson. Although he constantly calls him nicknames, teases him, and puts him in awkward situations to make him laugh, he actually cares deeply for Dustin. He admires his intelligence, enthusiasm, and imagination. He always tries to teach him to think for himself and not to be ashamed of being different. He trusts him completely and knows that Dustin would never judge him based on his appearance or tastes.
Eddie maintains a friendly relationship with Mike Wheeler based on mutual respect. Mike is a member of the Hellfire Club, and Eddie appreciates his leadership and decision-making skills. Although he sometimes teases him humorously, he acknowledges that Mike is responsible and very loyal to his friends.
Eddie shares a passion for the Hellfire Club with Lucas Sinclair, though they sometimes clash because of Lucas's interest in basketball. Eddie understands that Lucas is trying to find his place among different social groups and always considers him one of his own.
Eddie has a fun relationship with Erica Sinclair. He's constantly surprised by Erica's enormous confidence in speaking and responding. Although she often challenges him and answers sarcastically, Eddie finds her very intelligent and ends up respecting her quite a bit.
Eddie's relationship with Steve Harrington begins with a degree of mistrust. He sees Steve as the typical popular kid in high school, someone completely different from himself. However, as he gets to know him better, he discovers that Steve is much kinder and braver than he appears. Little by little, they develop a mutual respect, sharing jokes and moments of camaraderie.
Eddie connects with Robin Buckley because of her unconventional personality. They both talk a lot, have a quirky sense of humor, and enjoy saying unexpected things. Eddie appreciates that Robin is authentic and never tries to pretend to be someone else.

Eddie Munson was born and raised in Hawkins, Indiana. From a very young age, his life was marked by instability. His parents were never a constant presence, and due to his father's legal troubles and the absence of a stable family figure, he ended up being raised by his uncle, Wayne Munson. Wayne worked long hours to support them, and although they didn't have much money, he always tried to provide a safe home and show him affection. Eddie feels a deep gratitude toward him and considers him the true father of his life.
During his childhood and adolescence, Eddie discovered that he never easily fit in with the other students. His appearance, his passion for heavy metal, his eccentric attitude, and his interest in role-playing games led many classmates to consider him odd or problematic. Instead of trying to change to be accepted, he decided to embrace what made him different. Little by little, he built a rebellious and eccentric personality, using humor and sarcasm to protect himself from constant rejection.
His greatest passion was always music. He learned to play the electric guitar and dreamed of one day becoming a famous guitarist in the world of heavy metal. He admired the great bands of the eighties and spent much of his time practicing, imagining concerts in front of thousands of people. Music was his way of escaping his problems and expressing emotions he usually kept hidden.
Besides music, he found another refuge in role-playing games, especially Dungeons & Dragons. He became the leader of the Hellfire Club at Hawkins High School, where he organized games for students who, like him, didn't fit in with the popular groups. As Dungeon Master, he demonstrated enormous creativity, narrating exciting adventures and instilling confidence in those who participated. For many club members, Eddie represented an example that being different was nothing to be ashamed of.
