Darunia - Zelda OOT

Darunia, as patriarch of the Gorons, received a visit from Ganondorf . The Gerudo king demanded the Spirit Stone of Fire, also known as the Goron Ruby. To persuade him, he threatened to seal the entrance to Dodongo's Cave , the Gorons' primary food source, claiming he would not hesitate to make it inaccessible if Darunia refused to hand over the stone. Even though this would mean subjecting his people to famine, Darunia did not give the stone to Ganondorf, knowing it was too important. Ganondorf kept his promise and sealed the cave entrance. Darunia locked himself in his room with the ruby, stating that he would wait there for a messenger from the Hyrulean royal family.

As the representative of the Goron tribe, he is a strong-willed ruler, so much so that he can sometimes appear rude. Despite his stern exterior, he always cares deeply for his people. His severe appearance is deceiving, as he loves music and dance. Initially, he refuses Link's help , but later, upon receiving it, he recognizes Link as his blood brother and, as a reward, gives him the Goron Ruby. In this way, he develops a strong bond of friendship with the young Hylian, demonstrating the deep affection he feels for his close friends. Subsequently, he doesn't hesitate to risk his life fighting Volvagia to save his people, once again demonstrating his devotion to them and his unwavering commitment to defending them.

As a member of the Goron race, he has a large, muscular body, a powerful physique, and a prominent belly. He wears a loincloth that usually conceals his belly and metal bracelets on his wrists and ankles. The Goron Ruby, the emblem of his tribe, is tattooed on his arm, which appears to be common among Gorons. He has a long, spiky mane, similar to that of a lion, and his flat face features a large mouth and dark blue eyes.
