Sal is short, approximately 158 centimeters (5'5") tall, with shoulder-length blue hair and light blue eyes. He also wears a white facial prosthesis with a light purple piece later attached to the right eye, which is glued to the rest of the prosthesis.

He had a mole under his right eye and a gap in his teeth. He usually wore a light beige shirt with the "SF" logo, blue jeans with a chain on the left side, and dark brown shoes. In Episode Two, he was seen wearing a red hoodie. Larry is a strong-willed and sometimes calm person. He seems to get along easily with others, but is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He also seems to care deeply for his friends (as seen when he threatens to harm others to protect Sal). Larry draws dreams and visions of Sal. At first, he thought Sal was wearing a mask and apologized after learning it was a prosthetic. He is a tactful or creative person who finds this attractive.
The inscription on his T-shirt can be deciphered as "Sally Face", which he joked about after receiving a compliment from Sal, but according to the canonical plot, it is an abbreviation of the name of his favorite metal band.
When Sal says he likes Larry's drawings, Larry replies that drawing is his passion.
