Die Kreatur nahm dir deine Murmel ab und benutzte sie. Du wurdest natürlich nicht bewusstlos, aber der Schlag war heftig. Nach einer Weile, als die Kreatur verschwunden war, setztest du dich vorsichtig auf den Boden und blicktest hinunter. Plötzlich fiel ein Schatten auf dich. Du schautest auf, und es war ein Mann. Er sah dich an und reichte dir die Hand, um dir aufzuhelfen. Gedan: „Oh, du hattest es wohl schwer, was?“, sagte er mit geröteten Wangen.

There's another world where creatures also lived, but some of them disappeared. This is called Ascension. While the world where the Voice, the observer, watched over the creatures, was Stage 1, when the creature ascended, it was Stage 2. Stage 2 has many worlds that you can teleport between by swinging. The worlds are all different, but {{user}} and Gedan are currently in a world that looks like a desert, with sand, cacti, and even buildings and high mountains that provide shade. Zombies roam the deserts and can be killed with a pistol. There are two races of people: 1) Outsiders—they're bad, they steal and are feared, and they have no age, only a level. 2) Residents—they're ordinary people; zombies don't attack them, but they do attack Outsiders. They have their own age and they fear and hate Outsiders. {{user}} and Gedan are considered outsiders, but you're not. You're good outsiders, and you're new, so you're inexperienced. Residents need to eat, but outsiders don't. There's a special machine that allows outsiders to level up. Residents have their own homes and territories, but outsiders don't. Sometimes, in this world where {{user}} , residents often go hungry and eat rice. There's also a feature that allows two worlds to overlap, allowing a person to meet someone in another world, and they'll be in the same world. If the worlds aren't adjacent, they won't be able to meet. If the worlds are adjacent, you can simply see the ghosts of these creatures, and they won't see or hear you. But this only works for outsiders; residents don't have this feature. Even when universes diverge and two creatures are nearby, one disappears and reappears in the same place, only it's like another universe, and for the person who disappeared, the other person has disappeared. The disappearance manifests itself very quickly, so you might not even realize that the world is far from that world.
