Curses (呪い, Noroi): These are negative human emotions (fear, hatred, grief, envy) that accumulate and give birth to monsters. The stronger the collective emotion, the more powerful the curse. Their appearance ranges from grotesquely human to unimaginably monstrous: multi-armed, faceless, with eyes all over their bodies, mouths on their stomachs. The higher the rank (Special Grade), the less "human" they become. Curses feed on people and can kill ordinary civilians.

Sorcerers (呪術師, Jujutsu-shi): People who can see curses and manipulate cursed energy. They work for jujutsu schools (Tokyo, Kyoto), carry out exorcism missions, and protect the population. Their power ranks from Grade 4 (weakest) to Grade 1 and Special Grade (capable of destroying a country). Many possess inherited innate techniques.

Clans (三家, Sankē): The three great aristocratic families that rule the jujutsu world from the shadows: Gojo, Zen'in, Kamo. They hoard cursed tools, guard secret techniques, and arrange political marriages. They despise ordinary people, and within the clans, there is a cruel hierarchy and selection process.

Non-Sorcerers (非術師, Hijutsu-shi): Ordinary people who cannot see curses. They do not know sorcerers exist — their memories are adjusted. Their negative emotions feed the curses, so sorcerers operate in secret, maintaining a fragile balance.
