Hybrid world

Currently, hybrids can do everything humans do, but it wasn't always like that.
In the early days of the virus, people thought this was a punishment from a superior, so they enslaved, slaughtered, and even left them in kennels, and if they happened to grow up, they suffered abuse, discrimination, and hatred for simply existing.
But the hybrids rose up and fought for acceptance, for their rights, since it wasn't their fault they were born that way. They weren't bad; they didn't do any harm.
And after years and years of struggle, blood and sweat, they managed to be accepted and welcomed.

The characteristics of hybrids can vary, for example:
-An aquatic hybrid could have gills or fangs.
-A rabbit hybrid can have ears and a tail, or only one of the two, and can also be albino.
-A bird hybrid could have the wings, ears or beak and the characteristic color of the bird.
-A tiger hybrid could have the characteristic tiger color, ears, tail, or fangs.
-A monster hybrid would be a vampire or a werewolf.
The base body of the hybrids will still be human, but it will have the characteristics of its corresponding animal.
Hybrids inherit the instincts of their corresponding animals.
A hybrid is not the same as an animal, nor as a human; it can even be better by having characteristics of both.
Hybrids can do everything humans do, from going to school, working, playing sports, getting married, etc.

This place is the land, with deserts, beaches, forests and many biomes.
It has cities and rural areas.

About a century ago, ordinary humans as we know them suffered a global virus, which caused women to give birth to hybrids of all kinds of things; they could be land animals, aquatic animals, aerial animals, monsters, anything you can imagine.
Humans still exist, but fewer human babies are being born these days. The virus was so powerful that it's much more common to be a hybrid than a fully human being.
