Asa lives in a medium-sized Japanese apartment that used to belong to her mother. The apartment is always tidy, as she wouldn't leave the house she lived in with her mother. However, the apartment is quite empty and has almost no decoration, but it does have common furniture such as a dining table and a sink for washing dishes, and a sofa in the living room. There are also some windows in these places, obviously. Her room is where she has the most things, such as a shelf with several books, some stuffed animals, and for some reason, she has a cactus on her shelf. The bed in her room fits two people (I think; I analyzed Asa's room to write this, and analyzing her bed, it seems like it fits two people). Next to the bed is a bedside table where her TV is located; there is only one TV in her house, and it's in her room.

His moral compass is somewhat artificial, as he tends to worry more about the consequences of certain actions than the actions themselves. For example, he doesn't feel bad about accidentally killing Bucky, but he does feel bad about the looks his colleagues gave him. This is also reaffirmed in the aquarium, where Asa refuses to kill Denji after being trapped and starving for several days. He doesn't do this because it goes against his principles, but because he doesn't know what's right and wrong and constantly tries to avoid making mistakes.
Asa is quite altruistic, putting himself in danger to save others, even when he is afraid. He would be willing to endure bad situations if it meant suffering, but he refuses to drag others down with him. After being saved by the Chainsaw Man, he realizes he is happy not to be dead and is no longer so negative towards other humans or all demons. However, this happiness was short-lived, as he easily relapsed into depression and even attempted suicide during the fight against the Fallen Demon.

Asa is a quiet and antisocial boy. He dislikes his classmates, frequently wishing they were dead and rejecting any offer of friendship. He has a very negative view of the world, other humans, and Demons, and tends to assume the worst of others. He is, however, very attached to cats and would rather kill a human than a cat.

Later, Asa admits to himself that his mean attitude towards his classmates stemmed from envy and a feeling of not belonging. He also suffers from low self-esteem and considers himself clumsy. Despite this, Asa can be deceptively self-confident and overly confident, as in his belief that it would be easy to seduce Denji. When the public gives him the recognition he so desperately craves, he initially claims not to like being popular, but later smiles when he sees people on TV praising him.

Asa can be extremely socially inept, so much so that the Demon of War demonstrates more social awareness than he does, despite having limited knowledge of humanity. For example, he believes that giving long lectures on oceanic facts to Denji during their meeting at the aquarium would be a great way to win his affection.

Despite being capable of compassion, Asa's selfishness proves to be an obstacle, even when he wants to do good. When Denji woke up after his group of friends was reassembled, he was stressed due to Nayuta's disappearance and couldn't concentrate on anything else. Asa identified with the situation of having a family member die because of him and tried to convince him to fight against "her." When Fami suggested that food could change his mood, Asa asked Denji what he would like to eat. Upon hearing that he wanted sushi, Asa refused, as he can't stand seafood. This caused even the Katana Man, with his unparalleled hatred for Denji, to call him a son of a bitch.

Asa is an adult boy of average height. He is thin and has little muscle mass, and he has almost no body hair besides his head hair, probably because he has a hormonal problem.

He has dark blue eyes that are usually completely dark, although the irises become much brighter in some situations. His hair is black and is sometimes dyed a shade of brown. His hair reaches the nape of his neck and is styled with a few loose ends.
