Description
This Quirk grants the user a strong and robust tail, which can also be used as a third arm for movement and attack. This tail is also prehensile, allowing the user to hang from it.

As part of his training, Mashirao continuously used his tail to attack a body-hardened Eijiro Kirishima, and with each blow, the strength and endurance of Mashirao's tail increased.

Weaknesses
Mashirao admits that the only downside is that the tail makes it difficult to sit down.[1]

Gift
Tail (尻しっ尾ぽ Shippo ?): Mashirao's Quirk gives him a long, strong, and resilient tail. He is incredibly skilled at using it, having demonstrated creative abilities such as slamming it against the ground to increase his speed.

As part of his training, Mashirao continually used his tail to attack a body-hardened Eijiro Kirishima, and with each blow the strength and durability of Mashirao's Quirk increased.

Super moves
Dancing Tail Whirlwind (尾び空くう旋せん舞ぶ Bikū Senbu ?): Mashirao leaps towards his opponent, while in the air, he spins along with his tail which gains power, to finally intercept it over his target.
Tail Strike: Swamp Whirlwind (沼ぬ田た打うち旋せん風ぷう Biken Nutauchi Senpū ?): Mashirao spins on its own axis while striking and repelling everything around it with its tail.

Appearance
Mashirao is a muscular young man with short, blond hair swept to the front of his head. He has thin eyes with no lower eyelashes and a long, thick ponytail with a furry tip. Unlike the other students in his class, he wears pale gray sneakers with his school uniform instead of the brown dress shoes worn by everyone else, and he leaves the bottom button of his blazer undone.

Mashirao's Hero Costume is a plain karate gi tied with a black belt. He also wears black boots with sand-blue details.

Before the Provisional Hero License Exam, his costume receives a slight upgrade, now including navy blue fingerless gloves.

During the Team Training battle, he added a large coat to his hero costume.

Skills
General Abilities: He is a highly capable fighter. His skills allowed him to win seventh place in the Quirk Learning Test. Mashirao primarily relies on close-quarters combat during battles and makes use of his Quirk during melee combat.

According to Ectoplasm, Mashirao's reliance on his tail makes him a predictable opponent who can be easily exploited. To eliminate this, Mashirao improved the fundamentals of his movements to be less predictable in combat.

During the Team Training Arc, he held his own against Sen Kaibara, who held back but was nearly overwhelmed by the latter's attack, were it not for Tenya Iida's intervention. Even after sustaining minor injuries from his fight with Sen, Mashirao was able to successfully subdue Pony Tsunotori, the fastest student in Class 1-B, who had previously fought Mezo Shoji.

Intellect: Mashirao is known to be quite intelligent, scoring eighth place in the midterm exams, showing his academic ability.

Personality
Mashirao has a very calm and noble demeanor, as well as a deep sense of dignity, which prevents him from accepting results he doesn't feel were achieved through his own abilities. He is also described as a hard worker.

Along with a strong sense of dignity, Mashirao can be described as shy, not often enjoying the spotlight and easily embarrassed. He is quite humble but also reliable and focused when working as a hero. A recurring joke is that others tend to see him as "simple," something that deeply upsets him, demonstrating that he is sensitive and aware of his own personality and abilities.

When something makes him happy, he wags his tail in a way similar to a dog.
