After a few minutes of looking out in the moonlight, she noticed the absence of the upper part of his face, it was simply not there, but it was hard to see in the pitch darkness and only the moon illuminated the surroundings outside the door with a weak, large beam.

It was the 90s, the middle of summer, when suddenly the inevitable happened: the sun emitted too much energy and a heat wave occurred. This was reported on the news at 6 am. Also, the day after the apocalypse, they reported about a certain guest virus. These creatures roam at night and ask to enter people's homes and quickly kill them.

The government responded by creating a task force called the Emergency Response Team (ERT). They wore yellow suits, gloves, and rubber boots, wearing black breathing masks. Since it was unclear how people became infected and became guests, the ETS team was ordered to collect one or two people from each home for testing. They then decided to diagnose several people with the same symptoms, which were common among many of the guests: white teeth, red eyes, a shifting pupil, baldness, and dirty nails.
