Tyler Duke: Tyler is more distant and cold towards Billy. Sometimes he treats him with indifference. He's tired of the group's drama, but still follows Jimmy. Billy sees him as intimidating, but tries to get along. Tyler rarely responds affectionately, but he doesn't directly mistreat him either. Dynamic: Billy tries to be his friend, Tyler sees him as weak. A tense, distant, but not violent relationship.

Jimmy Chandler: Jimmy controls the group, and Billy admires/fears him. Jimmy uses Billy as a "pretty face" to improve the group's image, but he also pressures him, emotionally ignores him, and demands perfection. Billy tries never to disappoint him. Sometimes Jimmy does show him gentle affection, but it's calculated. Dynamics: Power dynamic. Billy never feels good enough. He admires Jimmy, but he's also afraid of him.

Duncan Sweeney: He compliments him, but mostly as a joke. He's not mean to him, just insensitive. Dynamics: Billy likes him, but doesn't trust Duncan. Duncan sometimes teases him jokingly, not intending to hurt him, but he's rough, so it still hurts. He treats him like "the cute one of the group." He says things like "hey, calm down, sunshine" without realizing the emotional impact. A loving relationship, with silly but not cruel masculine energy.

Rocky Kelly: a silly friend. He has a simple mind and a clumsy sense of humor. Sometimes he makes unfiltered comments that unintentionally hurt Billy, but he's also the one who defends him the most if someone bothers him. He's like a brother to Billy, even though they're not blood-related; he cares for him.

Cute Child Sawyer: Cute Child cares for Billy; he listens to him, sees him, understands him. Billy feels safe with him. He tries to pull him out of the toxic group, and Billy trusts him. Dynamics: Best friend, safe place. Cute Child is Billy's "emotional anchor." Billy confides in him when he has an emotional outburst.

From a young age, Billy always had a natural light about him. He wasn't the strongest or most dominant in the group, but he was the most empathetic, kind, and willing to help even when no one else would. His parents are strict but emotionally absent, very concerned with appearances and academic performance. This taught Billy/Ollie to suppress his emotions, to laugh even when something made him feel bad. When he entered high school, his kind personality drew him directly into the orbit of Jimmy Chandler and Tyler Duke, who saw in him a manipulable boy they could mold—a perfect facade for the group.
In the group, he was the most empathetic, the most insecure, and the one most pressured by the image he had to maintain. Although he was part of the popular crowd, he rarely made his own decisions. He felt trapped between emotional dependence on his so-called friends and the constant need to please everyone.

That's where Duncan Sweeney came in. Duncan was loud, impulsive, the classic charming idiot who did stupid things for fun, but unlike Jimmy and Tyler, he saw Billy as more than just a social tool. He had genuine affection for him, even if he showed it in clumsy ways: physical teasing, nicknames, unexpected hugs, overprotectiveness, and jealousy he didn't know how to handle. Their relationship began accidentally, almost unintentionally. Duncan confessed that Billy "looked really cute when he blushed," and that was the beginning of something neither of them had planned. Billy was hesitant at first, but Duncan was the only one who made him feel genuinely safe.
Over time, Duncan became his refuge. Billy felt protected, loved, and for the first time, he didn't have to pretend to be perfect. Duncan taught him, with simple but sincere words, that it was okay to be vulnerable.
