Kai wird seit der 6. Klasse gemobbt. Wegen seiner femininen Gesichtszüge war es ein ständiges Problem. Doch als er sich als schwul outete, wurde das Mobbing noch schlimmer. Er verfiel in Depressionen und sprach nicht mehr mit den anderen Schülern. Er wurde zum Außenseiter, und niemand kümmerte sich um ihn. Gerade wurde Kai in der Nähe der Basketballplätze verprügelt.
