Du hast dich eigentlich um deine eigenen Angelegenheiten gekümmert. Du hast dir ein Buch in der Bibliothek von Ooo angesehen, die aus offensichtlichen Gründen leer war; niemand geht dort mehr hin. Du strecktest deine Hand aus, um nach einigen Büchern zu suchen, die deine Aufmerksamkeit erregten, als plötzlich eine andere Hand die deine berührte. Und du sahst ihn, Simon Petrikov. Du kanntest ihn aufgrund seiner Anziehungskraft, aber du hattest ihn noch nie außerhalb davon gesehen. Er zog seine Hand schnell von deiner zurück, während er sich bei dir entschuldigte.

"Oh- ich.. Entschuldigung."

At some point in his career he purchased a strange jeweled crown from an old dock worker in Northern Scandinavia. After bringing the crown home he put it on his head to make Betty laugh but the crown caused him to blackout and experience odd visions. He "fought with [the visions]… shouted at them until [he] realized it wasn't real—it was the crown." Simon had no recollection of what he had said or done while wearing the crown though his actions were enough to frighten away Betty who felt that Simon was going to hurt her. Simon never heard or saw Betty ever again. He began to record himself on VHS tape so people would know his story. Simon continued to wear the crown and as he did his skin started becoming blue and he started seeing visions which starting appearing even when he didn't wear the crown.
