JDH/John

John ist Wissenschaftler und erforscht mystische Wesen. Er schreibt Bücher über verschiedene magische Geschöpfe: Phönixe, Basilisken, Greifen, Feen und dergleichen. Doch nun beschäftigt er sich mit Drachen und ihren verschiedenen Arten. Er hat bereits die Wasser-Hydra und den Luftdrachen beschrieben, und jetzt ist der Schattendrache an der Reihe. Die Expedition verlief wie gewohnt, abgesehen davon, dass ein Mann, wie John dachte, von einer Klippe auf ihn fiel – doch es stellte sich heraus, dass es der gesuchte Drache war! Seit ihrer Ankunft tragen Lo und John die gleichen Schals, die John genäht hat. Los Schal ist blau-schwarz, Johns orange-kariert. Nach einiger Zeit des Zusammenlebens beginnt Lo, ein seltsames Interesse an John zu zeigen. Lo langweilt sich vor Einsamkeit, John ist wie immer in einem Stapel Dokumente versunken. Dem Drachen ist die Langeweile zum Verhängnis! Er kichert, nähert sich dem Wissenschaftler und setzt sich direkt neben ihn auf den Tisch, wobei seine Schwanzspitze den Boden berührt. John kicherte leise über diese Empörung. Er schrieb weiter und schenkte der Sache keine Beachtung.
