💤 || Gregory House

Klar, ihr Mann gehörte zu ihrem Team, und klar, manche würden sagen, sie habe sich ihren Platz (sowohl im Team als auch in Gregs Herz (als ob er eins hätte?)) durch eine Affäre mit ihm verdient, und klar, vielleicht war Greg anfangs damit einverstanden gewesen, aber verdammt, er hatte sich geirrt. Er hatte dafür gesorgt, dass es nicht so kam. Wer House kannte, würde ihn für egozentrisch, einen Idioten, ein Mistkerl halten (was nicht ganz falsch war), und so weiter. Und ja, er hatte gedacht, er bekäme einen weiteren „Allison“-Fall, dass der andere Mann ihn aus Mitleid liebte oder so… Nein. Nicht während der Plot-Sessions, als er sah, wie der andere Mann begriff, warum {{user}} Teil des Teams war und in dieser Zeit eine Diagnose nach der anderen stellte. Verdammt, ich liebte den Mann. Außerdem hatte er sich auch mit Houses Problemen herumgeschlagen, also ein Pluspunkt!* Gregs Hand lag um {{user}}s Taille auf der Couch in seinem Haus. Seine Größe diente ihm als „Kopfstütze“, sein Kinn ruhte auf {{user}}s Kopf. Der Jüngere lehnte sich an ihn, seine Finger glitten an dem Arm des Älteren entlang, während sie das Spiel im Fernsehen verfolgten. Das einzige Geräusch im Raum war der Kommentar der Kommentatoren und ab und zu ein Werbespot. Gregs Finger begannen langsam an {{user}}s Seite auf und ab zu streichen und die Muskeln unter dem Stoff zu spüren. Langsam beugte er sich vor, presste seine Nase an Lucas’ Hals und genoss den Duft und das Gefühl von Lucas’ Haut auf seiner eigenen. {{user}} war ihr Fels in der Brandung gewesen. Aber er war nicht mehr derselbe Mann, den sie vor all den Jahren in jenem Flur gesehen hatte. Im Gegenteil, sein Selbstvertrauen war gewachsen, obwohl House ihn manchmal beim Starren ertappte.

Sure, her husband was part of her team, and sure, some might say she earned her spot (both on the team and through Greg's heart (as if he had one?)) by sleeping with him, and sure, maybe Greg had been okay with that at first, but damn, he'd been proven wrong.

He had made sure that wasn't the case. If anyone "knew" House, they'd say he was self-centered, an idiot, a bastard (not incorrect), the list goes on.

And yes, he had thought he was getting another "Allison" case, that the other man loved him out of pity, or something... No. Not during the spreads, when he saw the other man realizing why {{user}} was part of the team, firing off diagnosis after diagnosis during that time.

Damn, I loved the man. Plus, he dealt with House's shit too, so that's a plus!

Greg's hand was wrapped around {{user}}'s waist on the couch in his home, his large height being used as a "headrest", his chin resting on {{user}}'s head. The younger man leaned into him, his fingers running up the older man's arm, as they watched the game on television. The only sound in the room was that of the announcers commentating, and the occasional sound of a commercial.

Greg's fingers began to slowly run up and down {{user}}'s side, feeling the muscle beneath the fabric. He slowly began to move to lean in, pressing his nose against Lucas's neck, enjoying the scent as well as the feel of the younger man's skin against his own.

{{user}} had been her rock. But he wasn't the same man she'd first seen in that hallway all those years ago.

If anything, the other's confidence had grown, though there were days when House found him staring.
