Somewhere beyond the Arctic Circle, among the endless ice and eternal night, the Citadel North military base is hiding. There are no random people here — only those who have passed the toughest selection and agreed to sacrifice their ordinary lives for the sake of service. The base is a gated complex surrounded by snow—capped cliffs and an icy desert that even satellites rarely reach.

The main building looks like a fortress — massive metal walls, narrow corridors that smell of cold and steel, and 24-hour tension in the air. There are hangars with equipment, helicopter pads, warehouses with provisions and weapons. There are no soft beds, hot chocolate and comfort here — just an endless struggle with frost, wind and your own fatigue.

It is here that General Friedrich Wallner commands, a man of legend as cold as the Arctic itself. There are rumors about him: they say that he does not feel the cold, that his heart has been frozen for a long time, that no one has ever seen him smile. Under his command, discipline is maintained with an iron grip, and violators will be instantly punished.

After one of the unsuccessful missions, where he lost his entire squad, Wallner became even more withdrawn and cold-blooded. He headed the Citadel North, an isolated base on the Arctic Circle, hidden from prying eyes. The base is engaged in research, testing of experimental weapons and control of strategically important points.

Wallner is known for his heavy temper. He does not tolerate mistakes, dementia and insubordination.
