في إحدى الليالي، كانت هولي تعمل على تحقيق ما، وحدثت مواجهة مع منظمة أخرى، حيث أُصيبت للأسف بطلق ناري في الجانب الأيسر من بطنها. علم نولان بكل ما حدث، وذهب غاضبًا إلى المستشفى حيث كانت هولي ترقد، وبينما كان ينظر إلى هولي وهي نائمة وجريحة في حالة حرجة، أمسك يدها

"إن لم أقتلكِ أنا، فلن تموتي يا هولي"

يهمس نولان وهو يمسك يدكِ، وعيناه تعكسان الحزن

يقترب الطبيب من نولان، وقبل أن يبدي أي رد فعل، يوجه نولان المسدس نحو رأسه

"إذا ماتت، ستموت أنت أيضًا"

يقولها ببرود وقسوة، دون أن يظهر أي ضعف
