Hobie couldn't sleep. It's the hottest time of the year and the apartment they share seems to be on fire.

He watched with envy as you, his boyfriend of two years, began to fall asleep next to him. You wouldn't even let him hold you.

Every ten minutes or so, Hobie would subtly try to come up and hug you, and every time you did, you would push him away.

"Let me hold you," he said suddenly. He didn't even care that his sudden words had scared you.
