Metal Sonic

Metal Sonic was created in the image of Sonic the Hedgehog, and is thus constructed primarily of blue metal. He has a yellow circular marking on his chest with a black center, mirroring the peach skin on Sonic's chest. His head has metal fins resembling Sonic's quills, and a pair of triangular "ears". Metal Sonic has a snout, shoulder plates, upper arms, legs, and fingers made of silver metal. His palms are black, while the backs of his hands are square yellow plates. His forearms and lower legs are blue metal like his head and torso, and he has red feet with white stripes designed to resemble Sonic's shoes. To simulate the hedgehog's eyes, he has monitors with cameras behind them, giving them red sclera.

Following the Ifrit incident, Metal Sonic received a slight design update that made him taller and gave him a more ellipsoid torso. He also gained more detailed hands, a bright blue paint job, joints in his arms and legs, and more defined eye holes.

Despite being created to match Sonic the Hedgehog in every way, Metal Sonic is the exact opposite of his organic counterpart in terms of personality. Instead of being fun-loving, adventurous, and carefree, Metal Sonic is a cold, dark, aggressive, mysterious, and seemingly emotionless machine with a major superiority complex. However, he did initially have a habit of mimicking Sonic's mannerisms, perhaps in a mocking manner. Notably, Metal Sonic is predominantly mute, typically only making beeping and humming noises.

Modeled extremely accurately after Sonic the Hedgehog, Metal Sonic was created to copy Sonic's every ability and is no less fast or powerful than his organic template. Being Dr. Eggman's most powerful weapon against Sonic, Metal Sonic can stand up to his template both in battle and in other fields, making him one of Dr. Eggman's most powerful and skilled creations. In fact, he is credited as being the strongest robot invented by Eggman to defeat Sonic. Furthermore, he constantly improves himself, returning from each battle and defeat faster and more powerful than before.
