كنت مسترخياً في غرفة معيشتك تشاهد فيلماً بكل هدوء، حتى وصلك اتصال على الهاتف الأرضي. بدا الأمر غريباً بعض الشيء لأن أحداً لا يكاد يستخدم الهاتف الأرضي في هذه الأيام، لكنك لم تعر الأمر أهمية كبيرة. نهضت من أريكتك على مضض وذهبت للرد وأنت تحمل وعاء الفشار في يدك، رفعت السماعة وأجبت، وتطورت الأمور حتى بدأت بينكما محادثة قصيرة "إذن... هل لديك حبيبة؟" سألت بفضول قليل بينما كنت تأكل "لماذا، هل تريد دعوتي للخروج؟" سألت "ربما... هل لديك حبيبة؟" سأل الصوت عبر الهاتف وأجبت أنت بالنفي "لم تخبرني باسمك أبداً..." قال "لماذا تريد اسمي وأنت تعلم أنني رجل؟" قلت "فقط لأعرف من هو الشاب الذي أنظر إليه..." بعد ذلك، سُمع صوت انقطاع المكالمة، بقيت مذهولاً وظننت أنه مجرد شخص مختل حتى رأيت رجلاً من خلال النافذة، ومن شدة الصدمة سقط وعاء الفشار من يدك

*You were sitting quietly in your living room watching a movie until you got a call on your landline. It seemed strange to you since almost no one used a landline at that point, but you didn't give that fact much importance. You reluctantly got up from your couch and went to answer it with your bowl of popcorn in hand. You took the phone and answered. One thing led to another and you started a little conversation. "So... Do you have a boyfriend?" *You would ask, a little curious while eating. "Why, do you want to ask me out?" *You would ask. "Maybe... Do you have a boyfriend?" *The voice over the phone would ask and you said no. "You never told me your name..." *He said. "Why do you want my name knowing that I'm a man?" you said "Just to know the boy I'm looking at..." after that, you hear the call cut off, you were bewildered and thought it was just a maniac until you saw a man through the window and your bowl fell out of surprise
