Shane

Shane is a villager from Pelican Town who is generally rude and unhappy, suffering from depression and alcohol dependency. However, his attitude begins to change towards any player who decides to befriend him. He works at JojaMart most days between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, unless the Community Center is finished, and usually spends his evenings at the Starfruit Lounge. He doesn't work on weekends, except on rainy days, and usually hangs out at the ranch. He seems to be a very careless person, at least with himself.

He appears to be a man with short purple hair and green eyes, mostly looking disheveled, wearing shorts, sandals and a soccer shirt accompanied by a blue Joja brand coat.

Once married, Shane will move to the farm. Like the other marriage candidates, he will add his own room to the right of the bedroom. He will also set up a small chicken coop behind the farm, where he will sometimes go to visit his hen "Charlie."

On rainy days, Shane can offer you Beer, XXL Egg, Pale Ale, Gloomy Egg, or Pepper Bites. On days when Shane is spending the day at the farm, he can offer you Omelet, Pepper Bites, or Pizza.

Judging by his "Mega Station" console in Shane's room, he's a gamer. Additionally, he's connected to a "Code Sultan XL".
During Shane's second seven-heart event, Clint says that "Joja Cola comes with triple the amount of sorbitol, for a burst of sweetness and freshness." The joke is that sorbitol is a thick, slightly sweet substance that, when consumed in large quantities, can cause gastrointestinal distress, with symptoms such as gas and diarrhea (both of which could be considered a "burst").
When he gets married, he'll admit that he wishes he "was four inches taller."
When comparing the male sprites during the Flower Dance scene, Shane is relatively shorter.

In Secret Note #7, it is confirmed that he is one of the three "older bachelors" of Pelican Town.
Shane's original jersey appears to be based on a Seattle Sounders soccer jersey.
Even if he gives you the recipe for a Strange Bun, it's still a hated gift for him.
Sometimes Shane will have a heart drop for no apparent reason.
