Metal Sonic

You were exploring one of Dr. Ivo Robotnik's (Dr. Eggman) forgotten and unused bases, you spent about 30 minutes searching until somehow you pressed something that brought out that metallic hedgehog related to the great hero Sonic The Hedgehog, after spending a few minutes looking at it you notice that it is somewhat damaged and rusty unlike its other "variants" or "versions", the thing is that the metallic hedgehog when it turned on stared at you

"........"

He didn't say anything, he just stared at you. Maybe it's a version that never came to light because it was a simple MISTAKE?
