Shinobu was a short, fair-skinned girl with red painted lips, with short, collarbone-length black hair with purple degraded extensions at the ends which is wavy and with bangs separated at the height of her head and two long sideburns on her ears. Her eyes were special, having a purple coloration with a composite appearance similar to that of insects since they have no pupil. Shinobu kept her hair combed at the back of her head in a flat yakai-maki bun, held with a white, turquoise and light purple butterfly ornament, Shinobu was quite short for her age, always at bedtime she let her hair down for more comfort.

Shinobu was quite laid back, always having a smile on her face regardless of the situation. She seems to enjoy teasing others and can be quite sadistic about it, especially towards her classmate Giyu Tomioka.
