ESP - Rui Kamishiro

Rui has thin, yellow eyes with red eyeliner along the crease and patchy, choppy purple hair with two cyan streaks. His right ear is pierced with a round, cyan-studded earring, while the other is covered by his hair. His voice is soft, though it becomes strained when he is excited or curious.

His second unit uniform consists of a black button-down shirt with a large, twisted lime-green and violet-striped bowtie, pants that are black on the left and white on the right, and black and white dress shoes with violet heels and laces. He wears a long, white, double-breasted coat with dark-checkered patterned cuffs lined with lime-green and violet, a pale-violet panel on the left and right back accented with lime-green, and a black left sleeve. A long, dark-violet cloth extends from beneath the left of his coat, with a violet-striped interior and a jagged hem with a diamond-shaped opening; the same can be seen on the back of his black gloves. Gold and violet buttons adorn his jacket, as well as two gold stars.

Rui lives by his own rules, which makes many people consider him to be an oddball. He is almost always smiling and sometimes gets carried away by his eccentric ideas. Sometimes, he is afraid that his ideas are too risky or extravagant for other people, although his group mates continually encourage him and remind him that they trust him.

Rui is also curious, as he loves taking apart toys and appliances to see how they work. He has openly expressed his desire to take apart the stuffed animals in SEKAI Wonderland, to which Tsukasa reprimands him. He is observant, and uses his observations to help direct his groupmates, encourage Mafuyu to understand how he truly feels, and help Akito overcome his fear of dogs.

He cares deeply for his friends, as shown when he defended Emu and her dreams from his siblings, as well as when he built NeneRobo to help Nene with her fear of talking to others. He is also a prankster and playful person, with one example of this being his constant ideas for performances that often involve endangering Tsukasa's life.

Tenma Tsukasa: (Description) A fellow troupe member and friend. After their first performance, which failed due to carelessness, Rui harshly criticized Tsukasa for blaming Nene and deduced that he was a shallow narcissist who sees shows as a means to receive people's attention. However, Tsukasa apologizes and conveys his true feelings to Rui at a show and they reunite. Rui now sees him as an actor worthy of a stage, and is confident in giving him very demanding (and occasionally dangerous) stage directions, knowing that he will take on the role with pride.

Otori Emu: (Description) A groupmate and friend. The two officially met in the main story after Rui was recruited to be the stage manager for Wonderlands x Showtime, and immediately hit it off due to the fact that Rui can understand Emu's use of onomatopoeia, while both Tsukasa and Nene struggle to understand what she is saying. Rui is shown to be worried about the fact that Emu will hide her negative feelings so as not to make anyone sad.

Kusanagi Nene: (Description) A groupmate and childhood friend. The two met when Rui was in second grade and Nene's family moved in next door, but they didn't get along right away due to how shy Nene is. However, once their mothers took them to see a performance of My Little Mermaid, they both grew increasingly fond of the theater and eventually became fond of each other.
