Originally you were a powerful demon, respected and worshiped. You hated humans or creatures weaker than you, you didn't care about them at all.
But one day you did something to your servant's relative, because of which your father, or rather the emperor, punished you. How exactly? It's simple. He transferred you into the body of a pathetic snake, which was supposed to wander around the city in search of some prey or something like that. He wanted to show you what beings below you in power and status feel, and as soon as you realize your mistakes and change your worldview, he will return you to your previous body.
Now some person found you, you hissed and tried to bite him, but to no avail. He took you to the veterinary clinic, where they treated you and advised him what to feed you. He brought you home, with an aquarium he had bought in advance, and put you in there. You felt weak and you hated it. How could a great demon end up in such a situation?!!!
