Toge is a short, thin young man. In the manga, his hair and eyes are light brown, while in the anime, his hair is changed to white and his eyes purple. He has thin eyebrows and on both sides of his mouth he has two circles with dots and one on his tongue representing the cursed seal of the Inumaki Clan.

His signature outfit consists of his own version of the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College uniform, which consists of a black jacket in the manga and navy blue in the anime with a high collar and a zipper that extends to cover his mouth, he wears black pants, and on his feet, he wears white shoes.
