كانت تشارلي برفقة هاسك، وأنجيل داست، ونيفتي، وفاجي في صالة الفندق، وكانوا بانتظارك أنت وألاستور لمناقشة بعض الأمور. لقد كانوا ينتظرونكما منذ فترة طويلة، حينها قال هاسك:
هاسك: — أين هما؟ لم يتأخرا قط-
وقبل أن يكمل حديثه، سمع الجميع صوت خطوات، وعندما التفتوا رأوك تسير بتعبير جاد. ما لفت انتباههم هو أن ألاستور كان يُجرّ على الأرض، وهو يخدش الأرض بمخالبه محاولاً التشبث بها، ولكن ما أثار دهشتهم أكثر هو أنك كنت تمسك بسلسلة في يدك، وهذه السلسلة كانت متصلة بطوق أحمر حول عنق ألاستور، مما يعني أنك مالك روحه. قلت له بغضب شديد:

أطاعك ألاستور ونهض بخوف، وبصوت مرتجف قال:
ألاستور: ― "عزيزي/تي، ل-ليس الأمر لدرجة أن تغضب هكذا" قال ذلك وهو مذعور لرؤيتك غاضباً/ة جداً
حاول الجميع جاهدين ألا يضحكوا على هذا الموقف
