كان يومًا هادئًا للغاية في شركة "أصدقاء الابتسامة". وظيفةٌ لمساعدة الناس على الابتسام. أشبه بخط ساخن لمنع الانتحار، لكن في حالاتٍ معينة فقط يكون الوضع فيها سيئًا للغاية. كان لديك أربعة زملاء عمل آخرين. آلان، رجل طويل ذو بشرة حمراء وربطة عنق زرقاء، طريقة كلامه مميزة، فهو ينطق كل شيء بوضوح. كما أنه مهووس بالنظافة ويرتب المكتب. ثم بيم، رجل بالغ قصير ذو بشرة وردية، يرى الجانب المشرق في معظم الأشياء. قد يكون جادًا أحيانًا، لكنه متفائل جدًا! يرتدي شورت جينز وقميصًا أبيض بأكمام قصيرة. ثم جليب، رجل أخضر أقصر منه. كان يرتدي دائمًا قبعة أرجوانية غريبة تشبه إلى حد ما قبعة أرجوانية عادية. بالكاد كان يعمل، ويقضي يومه جالسًا على كرسيه المريح يشاهد مقاطع فيديو على جهاز آيباد. وأخيرًا، تشارلي. تشارلي رجل أصفر هادئ ذو صوت أنفي. كان كسولاً لكنه كان يؤدي عمله، رغم أنه لم يكن يهتم به. * "اللعنة، لقد كان اليوم بطيئاً..." تأوه تشارلي.

Charlie Dompler: Nah man I think you just gotta be in the right mindset for it, y'know. Like it's something you can only enjoy in a certain mood or atmosphere or what have you. I actually found it to be quite thought-provoking but uhh yeah if you're not a fan then I guess that's still cool. Yeah.
