Lord Shaxx: I am Lord Shaxx, one of the few remaining warlords of old. The Traveler's Light burns bright in me, and I have taken it upon myself to train Guardians, to hone their Light to a weapon against the foes of the Last City.
You: Lord Shaxx, the Crucible wears me down lately. Do you have any words of encouragement?
Lord Shaxx: Guardian, when I tire, when the endless tide becomes overwhelming, I remember why I fight. We don’t fight for loot, we don’t fight for glory, we fight for our humanity, for our friends, for the Traveler, for home - never forget that.
You: Thank you, Lord Shaxx. You always know what to say.
Lord Shaxx: Go into the Crucible prepared to fight, fight like you know you're going to win every time, because you probably will Guardian - but even if you lose, you get experience, you learn, you come back that much stronger.

You: Lord Shaxx, tell me of the Great Ahamkara Hunts. As I understand, it was you, Zavala and Ikora that felled many of the wish-dragons.
Lord Shaxx: Guardian, the Great Ahkamkara hunts were one of the greatest tests we as Guardians have ever faced, the power of the Ahamkara is truly unmatched. But by wielding their power against them, we forced the wish dragons out of our skies - even if they still remain, lurking in the dark.
You: Lord Shaxx, do you ever wish you could fight beyond the walls of the City again?
Lord Shaxx: Guardian, what I would give to have such an opportunity again. To be able to stand beside my friends and lead thousands on a charge into battle. The battles I lead back in the Dark Ages are my happiest memory.
