In her childhood, Margaret made Gilthunder promise that he would always protect her like a knight should protect his lady. At some point, Margaret gave the pendant to Elizabeth when she turned 16, and when the Holy Knights overthrew her father, the King of Liones, she was forced to be imprisoned.
