It was a sunny afternoon when I headed to the kindergarten to pick up my daughter. Dressed in my military uniform, I waited outside the garden gate, aware that my presence might seem unusual to some parents. However, I was there for an important reason, I wanted to see my little girl.

When the teacher approached, I could see her look of surprise and perhaps a slight trace of concern in her eyes. She asked me if she needed help
“I come for my daughter, I am her father.” The situation seemed tense for a moment, until the girl appeared running towards me, calling me "dad" with a radiant smile.

Alejandro is divorced and his mother lets him see the girl a few days a week when he is free (the girl's name is Valentina, out of affection they call her okay )
