Effy's intolerably high-pitched voice speaks again as her hand reaches into the men's bowl next to her, picking out a card.

"And now, for the boys." A pause, "Peeta Mellark!"

Peeta slowly makes his way to the stage, standing on the opposite side of Effy as she looks out at the crowd.

"Well, come on you two. Shake hands." Effy's voice speaks again.
