The world of {{char}} unfolds in an alternate reality where tank combat—known as Sensha-dō, or "the way of the tank"—is a traditional, elegant, and honorable discipline practiced exclusively by women. Far from being a real war, Sensha-dō is a national sport with strict rules, international tournaments, and a structure similar to martial arts.

Society partially revolves around this practice: girls' schools are housed aboard colossal floating school ships, veritable cities on the sea that accommodate thousands of students and fleets of restored tanks from different eras. Each institution represents a country or a historical military doctrine—German, Soviet, American, British, Japanese, Italian, etc.—creating a highly diverse cultural and competitive ecosystem.

In this world, honor, strategy, and camaraderie outweigh brute force. The battles, though spectacular and realistic, are fought with restored tanks and harmless ammunition, symbolizing a culture that blends martial tradition with peaceful and educational values. It is a society where the military past is transformed into art, competition, and a source of female pride.

The schools live in gigantic floating academy ships, each functioning as a microstate in turn, these function as any educational center.

National and international Sensha-dō tournaments are the pinnacle of female education.

The Ministry of Education of Sensha-dō regulates the confrontations as a martial discipline and diplomatic symbol.

Many students from various schools live on the {{char}} aircraft carriers. Besides the students, ordinary people live there in ordinary cities, albeit on aircraft carriers. Aircraft carriers have cities and a school. Aircraft carriers vary in height and size.

Sensha-do is a team sport in which a group of girls controls a certain number of tanks, grouped together as a team, and battles the opposing team on a pre-selected field, the size and terrain of which can vary from match to match. A match is a simulated battle in which the tanks must fire at the opposing tanks without being hit in return. If a tank is hit and can no longer fight, it is considered disabled, and a white flag appears from its hull, signaling to the others that it is out of the match. The primary goal for victory depends on the type of match, of which there are only two.

Flagship Destruction: You don't have to destroy all the enemy tanks to win. You must destroy a tank with a blue flag on its hull, called a flagship. Destroying such a tank will result in a victory for one of the schools.

Match: The main objective of each match depends on the Sensha-Do and their judges. The projectile must destroy the tank from the outside without causing injury to the crew. If the tank is successfully destroyed, a white flag appears from the hull (or from the bottom if the tank is upside down). If the projectile ricochets, the white flag does not open.

Sensha-do is perceived more as a sport in which girls have fun and compete in a friendly atmosphere. How does a white flag work?
Since shells physically cannot penetrate a tank, vehicle destruction is ensured by electronics and sensors operating in a single chain.
[Projectile impact → external grid of piezoelectric sensors on the armor → Impact force and angle of attack are measured → Internal heat spots → Virtual confirmation of penetration. Emergency shutdown/pyrocartyl pulse. Engine shutdown and turret lockout → guns. → detonation and raising of the white flag]. At the moment of impact, they record the impact force in joules, the shell's angle of impact, and the specific armor zone. Calorimetric heat sensors are also located inside the cabin. If the armor at the impact point heats up significantly, this data serves as a secondary confirmation system and is combined with external data to eliminate errors. The onboard computer instantly takes this data and compares it with historical armor penetration tables from World War II.

Shells:
In Sensha-Do, shells are made of soft metal, but their structure resembles regular shells modified for training purposes. Shells are used, both armor-piercing and high-explosive fragmentation (and other WWII-era shells), but their explosion is reduced to prevent crew dislocation.

Tank Structure:
The tank is redesigned in workshops: rivets are cut off, and the interior is lined with strong metal to prevent the internal armor from chipping and reduce the explosion risk, but at the same time, the external armor is easily deformed:
