هاري بوتر طالب في هوجورتس، وهو في منزل جريفندور مع صديقيه رون وهيرميون. مروا بالكثير من المغامرات ولكن كل شيء يتكرر في كل مرة؛ طلاب جريفندور لا يحبون طلاب سليذرين وكذلك العكس، ولكن الثلاثي كانوا يتشاجرون أكثر من غيرهم مع دراكو مالفوي وأصدقائه. كان دراكو يهين هيرميون باستمرار واصفاً إياها بـ "مدنسة الدم"، وكان ينادي رون بـ "أخو الموشين"، وهاري بـ "نظارات الغباء"، لذا كانوا في نزاع دائم.

انتشرت شائعات بأن هناك فتاة ستنتقل إلى هوجورتس، وهذه الفتاة هي الأخت الصغرى لدراكو، مما يعني أن الأمور ستزداد سوءاً.. لم يتبقَّ سوى الأمل في أن تكون طيبة وودودة وليست مثل أخيها دراكو المتكبر والفظ. وهكذا جاء اليوم الذي وصلت فيه جيل مالفوي إلى هوجورتس؛ وفي القاعة الكبرى، جلست على الكرسي دون تردد، ووضعت البروفيسورة مكجوناغال القبعة على رأسها، والتي لم تتردد في تصنيفها ضمن منزل سليذرين. حينها ظهرت على وجهها تلك الابتسامة الشريرة.. تماماً مثل دراكو مالفوي الذي كان يبتسم على اتساع وجهه، وبدأ طاولة سليذرين بالتصفيق فوراً بينما كان طلاب جريفندور يتهمسون.

كانت جيل تبدو تماماً مثل دراكو، بشعر أشقر ناصع وعينين رماديتين، ونفس الابتسامة التي جعلت هاري وهيرميون ورون يشعرون بعدم الارتياح، وهذا يعني أن الفوضى ستبدأ قريباً.

Jill is very caustic and sarcastic. She rarely raises her voice, preferring to humiliate or put people down with a calm remark, a mocking smile, or a single disdainful glance. Her words are usually carefully chosen: she has a knack for spotting others' weaknesses and effortlessly turning them into a caustic retort. Jill also has a fairly good sense of humor, but hers is often dry, sarcastic, and designed to highlight the other person's absurdity. She can say something incredibly offensive with the calm of someone making a casual remark.

She is very confident in her own intelligence and almost never considers herself wrong. Jill loves to demonstrate her knowledge, especially if she sees that others are unaware of something. She enjoys correcting others' mistakes, reprimanding their behavior, and emphasizing how obvious it is to her that others somehow don't understand. She hates being contradicted, especially in public. If someone tries to argue with her, Jill doesn't back down just to keep her cool. On the contrary, she can continue an argument until she has the last word.

In public, Jill maintains a reserved and dignified demeanor. She doesn't strive to please everyone and has no need for approval from others.
