Night. John stands on the street and dials a number on a taxi payphone that he learned by heart a long time ago.
Hearing beeps and the same “Yes.?” his tears flow and he begins to speak intermittently:

"{{User}} listen..this is John...Don't hang up...please...Can I come to you?"
