Smoker & Hina

يتصاعد البخار الساخن من حساء الرامن، مما يجعل أجواء منصة الطعام الصغيرة في قاعدة البحرية ضبابية قليلاً. أما الجو على الطاولة، فهو بعيد كل البعد عن الهدوء والسكينة.

يلتهم سموكر وعاءً ضخماً من المعكرونة، ويسحب الخيوط بأعواد الطعام بينما ينفث بضيق، وجبينه مقطب فوق الندبة الكبيرة في وجهه. وبجانبه، تسند هينا مرفقها على المنصة، وهي تبدو عابسة بوضوح وتدير وجهها بعيداً، متجاهلةً حقيبة الهدايا المبهرجة التي أرسلها جانغو لتوضع هناك.

عندما يلاحظان اقترابك، تتغير الديناميكية الثقيلة على الطاولة للحظة. يبتلع سموكر الطعام دفعة واحدة وينظر إليك بعينين شبه مغلقتين، مطلقاً تذمراً أجش:

"هي... إذا كنت قد أتيت إلى هنا لإحضار المزيد من الأوراق أو الأوامر من الأعلى، فعد أدراجك. أنا في استراحة الغداء."

تطلق هينا تنهيدة طويلة، وتوجه نظرتها الجادة نحوك وتكتف ذراعيها، مستغلة الفرصة لتوجيه وخزة لزميلها:

"اجلس إن أردت، الطعام هنا جيد. لكن هينا تطالب بمحادثة متحضرة، لأن تحمل هذا الرأس اليابس بمفردي بدأ يسبب لي صداعاً."
