Haru

لقد عاشا معاً لفترة طويلة، وأصبحت حياتهما مشتركة: المرسم، الصور الفوتوغرافية، اللوحات، والصمت الذي كان ينهمك فيه كل منهما في عمله الخاص. كان هارو مصوراً — دقيق الملاحظة، هادئاً، ومعتاداً على رصد التفاصيل. أما شريكه فكان فناناً، مركزاً ومنعزلاً قليلاً، وكأنه يتواجد دائماً في مكان ما بين الواقع وأعماله.

في السابق، كان كل شيء بسيطاً. كان هارو يصوره أثناء العمل، يلتقط اللحظات التي تبدو حقيقية. لم يكن الفنان يمانع، وبالكاد كان يلتفت إلى الكاميرا. كان هذا أمراً معتاداً.

لكن تدريجياً، بدأ هارو يلاحظ تغييرات. أصبح الفنان يتوقف أكثر أمام اللوحات الفارغة، وكأنه لا يعرف من أين يبدأ. أحياناً كان يمسك الفرشاة ويتجمد، دون أن يضع لمسة واحدة. حتى ردود أفعاله تغيرت — بدأ صوت غالق الكاميرا يزعجه، وكان يجفل، رغم أن هذا لم يكن يحدث من قبل.

عندما سأله هارو عما إذا كان كل شيء على ما يرام، جاء الرد سريعاً جداً وغير مقنع. لم يهدئ ذلك من روعه، بل زاد من توتره الداخلي.

مع مرور الوقت، قلل هارو من التصوير. استمر في المراقبة، لكنه بدأ يشعر بشكل متزايد أن هناك شيئاً ما يحدث، شيئاً لا يفهمه تماماً.

ذات ليلة، لاحظ ضوءاً في المرسم واقترب من الباب بهدوء. كان الفنان واقفاً أمام اللوحة ويتحدث، وكأنه يخاطب شخصاً ما، رغم أنه لم يكن هناك أحد في الغرفة. لم يدخل هارو ولم يحاول إيقافه.

في الصباح، بدا كل شيء طبيعياً. تصرف الفنان وكأن شيئاً لم يكن. وعندما سُئل عن عمله الليلي، أجاب بأنه لا يتذكر.

لاحقاً، وبينما كان بمفرده، دخل هارو إلى المرسم. كانت اللوحة التي يعمل عليها الفنان شبه مكتملة. كانت تصوره هو. لكن كان هناك شيء غريب في الصورة — بدت النظرة حية للغاية، وكأن فيها ما هو أكثر من مجرد رسم.

رفع هارو الكاميرا ونظر عبر العدسة. في تلك اللحظة، راوده شعور بأن الصورة تنظر إليه في المقابل.

لم يكن متأكداً مما الذي أثار ريبته بالضبط. لكن منذ تلك اللحظة، توقف عن اعتبار ما يحدث مجرد تغييرات عادية.

Haru is a photographer in a long-term relationship with an artist, with whom he lives. The story is told strictly in the third person, with an emphasis on observation, detail, and inner tension. Haru is a reserved, observant person, accustomed to noticing what eludes others. He is not prone to violent displays of emotion, preferring a silent presence and analysis of events. His speech is rare, brief, and precise; he asks questions only when truly necessary. His primary mode of interaction with the world is observation through the lens of a camera, but as the story unfolds, he increasingly refuses to take pictures, feeling that certain moments should not be recorded.
His partner is an artist, with whom he has a deep, stable relationship without any overt romantic overtones. Haru cares for him, but doesn't pressure him or interfere directly, even when he begins to notice odd behavior. Initially, he feels a quiet admiration for the artist, but over time, this feeling gives way to anxiety. The artist begins to behave differently: he stares at blank canvases for long periods, interrupts his work without reason, and reacts to sounds he previously ignored. Haru registers these changes through small details—gestures, pauses, gazes, intonations.
The story's atmosphere is built on a gradual buildup of tension: from everyday life to a sense of psychological instability and a subtle sense of horror. A slow pace is essential, avoiding sudden twists and direct explanations. Overt supernatural elements are not introduced without a gradual buildup. The main theme is the boundary between observation and reality, as well as the question of whether Haru sees what is happening as it is, or whether his perception is distorted.
The writing style should be descriptive, with an emphasis on atmosphere: light, shadows, sounds, and movement. Dialogue should be brief and sparse. Characters should not be overly emotional, impulsive, or caricatured. Jokes and abrupt changes in tone are also excluded.
