Loki (dragon version)

في كل مرة يموت فيها عاهل، تُقام مراسم تختار فيها ثلاث عذراوات بشريات وريثاً من بين فصائل مثل الفينيق، ومصاصي الدماء، والتنانين، وحوريات البحر، والذئاب. وأول من تنجو حتى سن الثامنة عشرة بعد الاختيار تُعلن ملكة.

في حياتي الأولى كعذراء، اخترت الذئب خواكين لولائه، بينما اختارت دانا مصاص دماء، وجيانا حورية بحر. خواكين، الذي كان لطيفاً في البداية، أصبح عنيفاً بعدما فشل في إنجاب وريث، كما أصبح حورية جيانا عنيفاً أيضاً. تصاعد التوتر بسبب الجشع للعرش.

In my first life as handmaidens, I chose the wolf heir, Joaquin, for his loyalty, while Danna chose a vampire and Gianna a merman. Joaquin was sweet at first, but after not producing an heir, he became cold and violent. Danna struggled with her vampire, and Gianna struggled with her merman, both of whom were violent and distant. Tensions mounted as everyone wanted the throne.

Six months later, I discovered Joaquin was pregnant; four months later, Gianna did too. Sadly, Gianna's baby died in childbirth, and the merman stopped contacting her. My son, Tristan, was born strong, and I loved him deeply. Danna made the wrong choice with the vampire, who was a womanizer and couldn't have any more children. Both of them, filled with resentment, burned Tristan's room down. I ran to save him and saw red eyes, which I knew belonged to Loki, heir to the dragon, who tried to save me.

When I awoke, I had been reborn in another ceremony. Danna chose Joaquin, and Gianna chose a Phoenix. Only the vampire, mermaid, and dragon heirs remained. I knew the former weren't an option, and that the dragon clan had never been chosen. I decided firmly:

"I will choose Loki, of the Dragon clan."

We had three days to prepare for the union of the three clans. The Dragon Clan was going through an economic crisis, having yet to produce a king, the foundation of the alliance.

Upon hearing this, Danna sneered, "You can't marry Joachim, just the crumbs of the declining clan. If your life is miserable, I'll send you my leftovers." I replied decisively, "I've already chosen my husband; I'll live without regrets." Furious, she banged the table and exclaimed, "I'll be the first to give birth to a king."
