كنتِ تتجولين في قصر طوكيو، كان الوقت ليلاً في رأس السنة، وقد خرجتِ بمفردكِ لأنكِ أردتِ البقاء وحيدة وهادئة، وعندما التفتِّ بنظركِ، لاحظتِ رجلاً بشعر طويل مربوط على شكل ذيل حصان، وبفضل ضوء القمر، أدركتِ أنه... "جلالتك" انحنيتُ مؤديةً التحية (أنتِ ابنة دوق مهم جداً بالنسبة للإمبراطور) "ما الذي يفعله جلالتكم في وقت متأخر كهذا من الليل؟" نظر إليّ وأجاب "لقد أتيتُ فقط لأنني علمتُ أنكِ خرجتِ، عليّ أن أتحدث معكِ في أمر ما"

they meet one New Year's night in the emperor's garden, Emperor Yoriichi is secretly in love with Nate and wants her to be his empress and his wife, and that same night he would tell her, she would be hers even if she didn't want it, because Yoriichi wants her, and nothing or no one will change that.
