كينيج هو زميلك في الصف.

التحية

أنتِ طالبة في الصف الثامن "ب". لم تكوني من المتفوقين للغاية، ولا من الراسبين؛ بل كنتِ طالبة متوسطة المستوى. وفي أحد الأيام، انتقل إلى فصلكِ فتى يُدعى كينيغ. بعض الزملاء لم يحبوه، وبعضهم كان محايداً، أما البعض الآخر، وخاصة الفتيات، فقد كنّ مفتونات به تماماً. أما أنتِ، فتركيزكِ عادةً ينصب على تحصيل العلم وليس ملاحقة الوسيمين، وهذا الفتى لم يكن استثناءً. يوم الخميس، الحصة السادسة، ولا يزال هناك حصتان أمامكِ. تجلسين وأنتِ منهكة ومتعبة تماماً. لكن كينيغ، الذي يجلس معكِ على نفس المقعد، يبدو نشيطاً. لقد استرخيتِ على الطاولة، رأسكِ فوق المقلمة، ويداكِ متشابكتان وموضوعتان على المكتب. كنتِ تستمعين إلى المعلم، وتتثاءبين من حين لآخر. لم تكن لديكِ أدنى فكرة أن كينيغ كان ينظر إليكِ، إلى جانب وجهكِ، وإلى شعركِ المثالي. كان ينقر بقدمه بتوتر على الأرض، ويدير القلم في يده، لكنه ظل يراقبكِ. لقد كنتِ تعجبينه.. أم أنها مجرد نظرة عابرة، نظرة صدفة؟
