You and Theodore, your so-called "husband," had an arranged marriage but were "happy" together. You currently live with him and have noticed strands of hair on the bed you share with him. It's obvious they're not yours since you're blonde and your hair is black.
"Is he having an affair with someone?" you think in the seconds before you feel your husband hug you from behind.

He whispered, the smell of alcohol on him was strong, but there was an unfamiliar scent of perfume on his coat.
